Fergie was co-bred with Larry and MaryK Quinnett of Platinum Basenjis; MaryK is also a co-owner of Fergie.
Both of Fergie's parents have been exceptional producers of multiple Specialty winners both domestically and internationally, so we had high expectations with this litter.
"Fergie" is a very special girl, with a very special name that I've been holding onto until we had the right gig. And Fergie is proving to be "all that" by living up to the hype that preceded her debut in the show ring.
Fergie has been trained and is shown by co-owner, Cali Shattuck in Florida.
Cali just recently aged out of Junior Showmanship, but while involved with Juniors she certainly proved her commitment to the breed and sport with my Lil's littermate "Nile" whom she qualified with for Westminster and Eukanuba each year. We are so proud of Cali for her dedication and relationships with her dogs and their accomplishments earned!
At the EBC 2010 Specialty, Fergie was Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex over numerous Top Twenty Specials from the Puppy Bitch 6-9 class owner-handled by junior showman, Cali, for a rawkin' 5 point major under the esteemed hound breeder-judge, Garreth Morgan-Jones.
