"Nikka" has a velvet short coat and razor sharp tri color demarkation.
She is lovely and feminine in outline and very elegant moving as well.
Nikka has been a splendid companion for her owner, Michelle Swanson of Bothell, WA who has had Basenjis for years.
In addition to being a wonderful house and office dog, Nikka has served as an outstanding Junior Showmanship partner for the owners' family friend and co-owner of Nikka: Shyanne Gates
Shyanne was awarded "Best Junior Handler" at the Willamette Valley Basenji Club Specialty in July 2009 with Nikka.
We're very proud of Shyanne and Nikka for their success in the ring, and for Shyanne's superb handling and training skills that have caught the eye of several professional handlers.
Nikka recently finished her championship at the BCONC Specialty weekend
Nikka has been certified as "Probably Clear/Normal for Fanconi Syndrome" (the most favorable rating currently offered)by CPP at University of Missouri, Columbia and registered with OFA: OFA #BJ-FAC1873/4F-NOPI
